Amelia Island International Skate & Surf Film Festival

Originally launched on Amelia Island, Florida in 2025, the festival is now looking to expand to filmmakers globally in 2026 and touring nationally, introducing two competition divisions, Surf Films and Skateboarding Films, with a mission to educate, inspire, and give back to the communities that fuel the culture.

Event Details

Date: June 20, 2026 (Saturday)

Location: The Tigre Island Room

The premiere event will feature screenings of top surf & skate films from around the world and the release of El Toro, produced by Southern Edge Studios.
There will also be vendors and educational programming including workshops, Q&As, and filmmaker panels, giving young creators hands-on learning opportunities.

Film Submissions

There will also be vendors and educational Films will be judged by a panel of surf legends, skate icons, and film professionals, ensuring credibility and recognition for emerging talent. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning filmmakers. Submissions will open in December.

Entertainment

A live score performance by SUPREME of Wu-Tang and Gilberto’77 (others to be announced) will take place during the release of El Toro— a satirical surf-smuggling spoof produced by Southern Edge Studios. The film blends action, comedy, and world-class surfing in Bocas del Toro, Panama.
